Having taken the lead over the oil and gas company ExxonMobil, the many years leader, Apple Inc. won the first place in the list of the world’s largest 500 corporations released by the Financial Times. Last year the market cap of the manufacturer of iPhone and iPad amounted to $559 billion. ExxonMobil was in the second place with $408.8 billion while China Petrochina was the third with a capitalization of $278.97 billion According to the Financial Times, the total capitalization of the world’s 500 largest corporations for the past year fell by 3.6% to $25.3 trillion.
